The pool and hot tub can be enjoyed but have limited times to access them and the changing facilities are basic. While the overall pool size is nice, it generally feels like it has seen better days and the hot tub is outside so virtually unused in winter. However, in terms of safety, the pool area can be a serious accident waiting to happen as it is surrounded by unlit slippery decking. The hotel offers access to a pool, gym, sauna and steam room, but this area is not accessible most of the time by guests, as it is mainly for non-guests and children have swimming lessons throughout the day. Despite these limitations, the swimming pool is inviting and cosy and guests who are able to reserve access to it have a great time with the pool area being relaxing.

Many guests loved the pool which was excellent, clean and of good size. The superb pool was relaxing amidst the heatwave and a lifesaver after a day out in Helvellyn. Some guests had the swimming pool to themselves and enjoyed the brilliant facilities, including the sauna. Although some guests felt that the swimming pool and sauna were neglected, others found the facilities to be very good and not busy at all. Families with children appreciated the excellent pool and other activities offered. The location of the hotel and the facilities it offers, such as the swimming pool, were highly praised by guests. Overall, the pool at The Ullswater Inn- The Inn Collection Group was a hit with many guests who tried it during their stay.
