The property is said to be inhabited by many different ghosts, the most well-known one being that of Sir Alexander Ramsay. According to the story, in 1342, he was starved to death and he is left wandering around ever since. Another famous ghost is that of Lady Catherine or the Grey Lady, who haunts the castle's dungeon.
