Former Castle Country House
The castle and its surrounding land date back to the 18th century. The property changed hands many times before been purchased by George Murray in the early 19th century, who renamed the castle as Mansfield. The turbulent history and change of owners did not cease then, though, since the castle was sold time and again, until the Fowler family came to its possession and refurbished it extensively at the beginning of the 20th century.
