Very Good
Location
Cliveden House is an iconic luxury hotel in a stunning location, surrounded by picturesque gardens and woodland. The grounds are a gem of the English countryside and offer beautiful views over the iconic garden and Thames. Guests have praised the hotel's perfect quiet retreat outside London with a wonderful location that is both excellent and simply stunning. It's a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy the lovely gardens and scenery. However, it's worth noting that some rooms overlook the car park rather than the beautiful grounds. On the whole, visitors appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the park national, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful stay.
Breakfast
Guests at Cliveden House have varying opinions about breakfast at the hotel with some describing it as delicious, super with great choices of both cooked and cold buffet items and excellent. The cooked breakfast is particularly praised for its deliciousness and good quality ingredients. For others, the breakfast buffet is a little spartan and the food lacks the 'wow' effect with cheap bread and pastries. Furthermore, some guests find that the fruit bowls are not refilled regularly and there is a poor collection of cheese and bread. A few reviewers find breakfast just ok or below average with one even stating that it was a poor experience altogether. Despite this, others say that breakfast and the evening meal were great and locally sourced ingredients were exquisite. As for the afternoon tea, it seems to get mixed reviews.
Dinner
Dining at Cliveden House is a mixed bag, based on guest reviews. While the overall quality of the restaurants appears to be good, comments suggest that some guests have been left underwhelmed by the menu options with one reviewer describing it as "boring". The Astro Grill and The Dining Room both receive praise for their food with the beef wellington for two proving a standout dish. However, there are mixed feelings about the price with some guests feeling that the food didn't warrant the expense. Overall, it seems that while the dinner and breakfast are enjoyable, those hoping for something exceptional may be disappointed.

Although some reviews noted that the air conditioning was not working correctly which made the rooms uncomfortably warm. However, some mention that the bathrooms need general tlc. Some guests also reported that their upgraded room didn't have the separate living room they paid for. Nevertheless, the general experience is fantastic with fabulous rooms and very nice room service.
Staff

The reception team and porters were next-level attentive and the attention to service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and stood out with their excellent service. However, one or two guests felt that some staff members didn't seem like they wanted to be there and that there was no atmosphere. While grumpy staff and staff who were quick to say no were mentioned by some, most found the staff to be very friendly and polite with exceptional attention to detail. Furthermore, the staff serving afternoon tea were very helpful and accommodating and one of the staff did apologize. Overall, the hotel has a great team of friendly and helpful staff.
Spa
The spa at Cliveden House is truly a remarkable experience. Guests raved about the relaxing atmosphere and divine treatments offered at the first-class spa with some even saying the treatments were out of this world. The spa facilities were described as excellent, nice and lovely with both indoor and outdoor pools being a favorite among visitors.
