The first mention of Rosenegg Castle dates back to 1187. The manor house, located in Fieberbrunn, Austria, today a 4-star hotel, is of medieval origin and is made up of three structures joined together and high towers soaring into the sky.
Family Hotel Schloss Rosenegg has stood the test of time and the many vicissitudes associated with its history. Its walls have borne witness to the stories and destinies of those who lived there and left their marks. Famous people such as Countess Margarethe Maultasch or Napoleon, for example, lived here.
It was the Rosenberg family’s residence from 1555 to 1760. Baron Rosenberg, a faithful friend of Nostradamus, maintained intensive correspondence with the scholar, physician and astrologer.
