IL KIOSTRO is a historic 350 year-old expertly converted Maltese farmhouse, retaining all its original features such as "Xorok", "Kileb", arches, nooks, niches, Maltese flagstones, spiral staircase “garigor” and birth rooms. Professor Stefano Zerafa, a Maltese academic of the 1800s and the person who identified the Maltese national plant "Widnet il-Bahar" as endemic to Malta, lived in this house. This home is impeccably furnished to high standards with 3 guest bedrooms all with an en-suite shower, a large hall with a sitting and a dining area, a picturesque authentic mill room that serves as living quarters, a beautiful garden with pool and Jacuzzi, a lovely sun terrace, an ‘al fresco’ dining and BBQ area and an internal yard.
Il Kiostro is found right at the heart of Zurrieq, a typical Maltese fishing village. Zurrieq enjoys stunning views and it is also a very popular diving location.
Il Kiostro is equipped with a 55” Smart TV, 140+ cable TV international channels, a free Netflix account, 250Mbps high speed cable internet and free WiFi in the common areas.
Appliances: Large refrigerator and vertical freezer, 5 burner gas hob and large gas oven, electric kettle, toaster, microwave oven, dishwasher, espresso machine, waterless pots and pans, automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, iron board, 3 air conditioning units fixed in the bedrooms (extra charges apply), 2 gas heaters, ventilation fans and an outdoor BBQ facility.

Zurrieq is located 1.5 km away from the coast line. It is a very popular fishing village and a spectacular diving spot. The closest beach is on the promenade of the Zurrieq Valley. Close-by attractions include the iconic Blue Grotto where one could take a boat trip to visit the natural caves, Xarolla windmill, Hagar Qim, Mnajdra and Hal Saflieni temples and the underground Hypogeum (advance bookings are recommended for the Hypogeum). Ghar lapsi Bay is only a 10 minute drive away. Marsaxokk, which is another fishing village, the Ghar Dalam large natural cave, the historic three cities and the capital city of Valletta, including the amazing Grand Harbour, are just a 20-minute drive away. Just 9km from Il Kiostro one will also find the 18-hole Royal Malta Golf Club and a number of Tennis Courts. Malta International Airport is only 6 km away.
